Zach Chapman is an associate at Shannon & Wright LLP where he represents clients in business and real estate litigation.
His practice involves representing clients across the spectrum of real estate issues and all phases of civil/commercial litigation, including but not limited to construction defects, contractual disputes, eminent domain, and land use.
Zach has broad experience in all aspects of litigation, from pre-litigation through trial. His experience includes, but is not limited to, drafting and responding to complaints, dispositive motions practice, preparing for, taking, and defending depositions of witnesses, including expert witnesses during litigation, attending and preparing for trial, including pretrial hearings and motions practices. He regularly appears on behalf of clients in alternative dispute resolution forums, including arbitration and mediation. Zach is licensed to practice in the state courts for the District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Virginia, and the State of Maryland, and the jurisdictions’ respective federal courts.
Prior to joining Shannon & Wright LLP, he worked at several law firms, and most recently, he spent nearly five years at a regional firm in Washington, DC where he focused on real estate and construction litigation.
Zach and his husband reside in Washington, DC with their adopted rescue dog Beauregard.
